The Golden Bombers are coming off a disappointing season on 1997-98. Ilion went 10-11, which was their first losing season in recent memory. A heartbreaking sectional loss to Adirondack in overtime ended the season. But the future looks bright for Ilion, with a nucleus of 9 players returning this season, led by captain Jake Diaz, the Bombers and Coach Bill Obernesser have high expectations for this season. Nothing less than a CSC Division I title will be accepted. With league realignment, this will not be an easy task. Newcomers to the Bombers' schedule include Dolgeville, and Frankfort, led by 6'7" Brett Barnard. Also, the Bombers will compete in the Notre Dame Juggler Classic.
